Andrew Weeks Photography: A Wedding at the Grand Hyatt

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

weeksphotography

On April 11th I got to photograph Liz and Dave’s wedding over at the Grand Hyatt, near Union Square.  It was super fun and they were super easy to photograph. They were so happy and easy-going, it made my job a piece of cake.

The Grand Hyatt has a great feel to it, and with Lauren Cherry (the Grand Hyatt’s catering manager) Liz and Dave’s wedding flowed perfectly throughout the day.

The images you see here are some of my very favorites, if you click HERE, you can see even more images from their day.

Lastly, I must mention the great email Liz and Dave sent to me. I love my job. I mean, I get to take photographs of people on one of their most important and happy days of their lives. Then, when I get an email like the one Liz and Dave sent me after they saw their photographs, it all gets even better. Here is just a little snippet:

“WOW!!!  We absolutely LOVE our photos — you were able to capture so

many of the small things that we really wanted to remember, and there

are some beautiful shots (in fact, all 900 and something : )). I was

showing them off at work today, and two of my coworkers mentioned how

amazing it was that you got all those shots and the guests hardly knew

you were there!

We really wanted to thank you so much — it was really important to us

to get great pictures since it’s all we’re left with, and we were both

in shock yesterday and spent the entire afternoon looking at proofs!

Liz and Dave”

You cannot beat an email like that! Thanks Liz and Dave.

Andrew Weeks Photography: A Wedding Reception in Houston

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

I was lucky enough to photograph Laura and Price’s wedding here last year. They had a beautiful intimate ceremony and dinner up in Sausalito. I was so happy when they asked me to come to their hometown of Houston to photograph a larger party they were having to celebrate their marriage with friends and family. It was awesome!!! I had so much fun and I love the photographs I took. Check out their slide shows…

Here is one of their wedding: MancheeMagnessWedding

( My good friend Alice Grisez , from Grisez And  Co, helped but this great gathering together. If you need a wedding coordinator, she is one you should call for sure.)

The first wedding of the season and I already think I have my favorite couple of 2009! Jon and Amanda had a great wedding and a great time. Jon is my ” web guy “; his company,y SleeplessMedia, has been doing all my my websites and web stuff for the last couple of years. They rock!  Anyway, Jon and Amanda held their wedding at Testarossa Vineyards. The place was very cool, with lots of fun places to shoot.

With the wedding season of 2009 about to start (with a bang!), I glanced back at the weddings I photographed in 2008. It was an amazing year for Weeks Photography, filled with wonderful weddings and wonderful photographs. I love that combination.

Andrew Weeks Photography: A wedding in Sausalito!!

Monday, December 15th, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Price’s wedding a couple of weeks ago. They hail from Texas and are the nicest couple I have ever met. Laura and Price had a very intimate destination wedding here in the Bay Area, and it was a great one to shoot.

Laura and Price had their rehearsal dinner at Alfred’s Steak House. The ambience was great and the food was amazing. The next day their ceremony was held at Christ Episcopal Church in Sausalito. This church was perfect for their intimate wedding. Then it was on to dinner at Ondine’s! Yummy!Yummy!
Lastly, I have to sing the praise of Alice Grisez, from Grisez & Co Event Design. She is a fantastic event cordinator and she helped create exactly what Laura and Price wanted.

Sayulita is a wonderful place in Mexico, just about a half hour north of Puerto Vallarta. I had the awesome pleasure of photographing Shawna and Jim’s wedding there a couple of weeks ago.

Andrew Weeks Photography: A wedding at St. Vincent and a party at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn

Friday, October 31st, 2008

I had great time taking these photos of Carli and Nestor. They were all smiles all day and the places they chose to go on their wedding day were all beautiful.
Their ceremony was at St. Vincent’s in Marin. It is seriously amazing. Everywhere I pointed the camera there was great place to shoot. The reception was at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. A great place with a great atmosphere. Kelly, the catering manager there, is awesome to work with. She made everything go smoothly not only for Carli and Nestor, but for all the vendors too. She rocks!

I love photographing in LaFayette!!

Monday, September 8th, 2008

I really do love it! Every wedding I shoot up in LaFayette turns out to be beautiful. Liz and Mike’s was no exception, plus it was so much fun to shoot. Everything happened at Liz’s parents house, it was a perfect place for a wedding.

Be sure to check out the slide show: CLICK HERE

When you see the flowers, you will want to know who did them. It was Megan Haney, check her floral skills out at: www.meganhaneydesigns.net

Katherine and her crew at: www.culinaryexcellence.com catered a deliscous meal and made everything run super smooth.

Andrew Weeks Photography: A wedding at Nestldown!!

Friday, August 29th, 2008

This is probably one of the most authentic weddings I have photographed in a while. The only way to describe it is ” bohemian chic”. Check out the photographs by clicking here.
The wedding took place Nesltdown. This was my first time shooting there, and I do hope to return again and again… It is such a cool place to have a wedding.
The bride and groom, Eric and Mindy (you can see their engagement shots a few blog entries down), are amazing folks with great family and friends.
Check out the catering company that did this wedding: www.backtoearth.com
They are an all-organic catering company here in the Bay Area. Their food is super tasty and Eric also happens to be the co-owner.
